Vintage mahogany console cabinet, the centre door with beautiful satinwood inlay and housing two interior shelves, with three-tier open shelves on both sides; label affixed to back from the Charak Furniture Co., Boston, Massachusetts, 1947 - 32 x 36 x 14in; showing surface wear; Note: Charak was established in Boston in 1919 and earned a reputation for exceptional design and durability; they were a leading manufacturer of reproductions of early American furniture that was influenced by Queen Anne and Georgian era design of 18th century furniture, including secretaries, dressers and cabinets with exquisite details; a 1958 desk is part of the permanent collection at the Carnegie Museum of Art
